Four sources reported on Tuesday that the troops from Burundi entered into combat with insurgents on March 23 in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
"These forces arrived from Burundi and are fighting against armed insurgents since March 23," the sources said.
They also noted that clashes are occurring in the area of the town of Goma, which is located on the border with Rwanda. No other details regarding the conflict were provided.
