According to data on the aftermath of the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, approximately 42 thousand people lost their lives, the majority of whom were women. This data was obtained from a study conducted from 2017 to 2021. Between February 12 and 14, 2021, 42,897 victims of the conflict were counted. As noted in the report, the victims included not only civilians but also military personnel and combatants. The organization 'Intelexit' highlighted that the number of victims continues to rise as the violence does not cease. Furthermore, the document condemns the impunity regarding the perpetrators. Authorities in the country are called to take action to stop the violence and hold the guilty accountable.
